07/02/2009 - Firestone Metal Products Receives Premium MCM Fabricator Certification by the MCA
The Premium MCM Fabricator Certification Program program was created by the Metal Construction Association to identify and publicly recognize companies who have met the standards of a Premium MCM Fabricator. These fabricators have demonstrated their superior capabilities to deliver outstanding applications of Metal Composite Material panels for architectural applications. Certification is intended to promote the use of metal composite materials in high-end monumental building projects.
The evaluation process focuses on four critical areas to determine whether a company meets the program requirements:
- Experience - Defined as the number of consecutive years the fabricator has produced a minimum of 150,000 square feet of architectural wall panels.
- Services – Confirms the fabricators ability to offer value added services such as: In-house fabrication; Installation subcontracts; Installation certification program; In house engineering.
- MCM Systems Certified - Based on the number of panel systems that have met ASTM E283, ASTM E330 & ASTM E331 standards.
- Financial Strength - Based on the fabricator's level of financial performance above which companies are considered "healthy".
The Premium MCM Fabricator Certification program provides further third party recognition of our commitment to product quality and providing value added services to our customers.
